HATIL Furniture Visibility

4,800+ Keywords Ranked | 68,400+ Organic Traffic

HATIL Furniture SEO case study — 4,800+ keywords ranked, 68,400+ monthly organic visits, and 180% revenue growth via semantic SEO and technical migration.

HATIL Furniture Visibility

The Challenge

HATIL — one of Bangladesh's largest furniture manufacturers with 50+ showrooms nationwide — had virtually no organic search presence. Their website was built on an outdated platform with non-SEO-friendly URLs, missing meta tags across 90% of product pages, and zero blog content. The furniture category in Bangladesh was highly competitive with local giants like Otobi, Akhtar, and Brother's Furniture aggressively targeting the same keywords. HATIL's product pages had generic manufacturer descriptions with no unique value propositions, and their image-heavy site lacked proper alt text and structured data. Furthermore, the site had no mobile-responsive design, causing a 78% bounce rate from mobile users who made up 65% of their total traffic.

Our Approach

We designed a comprehensive SEO strategy centered on semantic content marketing and technical remediation. The approach involved three parallel workstreams: (1) Technical: complete site migration to a headless CMS with SEO-first architecture, implementing proper URL structures, breadcrumbs, and Core Web Vitals optimization. (2) Content: creating a furniture knowledge hub with buying guides, material comparisons, room-specific decor ideas, and maintenance tips — all structured as topical clusters. (3) Local SEO: optimizing Google Business Profiles for all 50+ showrooms with unique descriptions, photos, and localized content targeting "furniture store near me" queries in major Bangladeshi cities including Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, and Khulna.

Implementation

The project kicked off with a technical migration from HATIL's legacy PHP site to a Next.js-powered headless CMS. We implemented dynamic meta tags, automated XML sitemaps, and structured breadcrumb navigation. All 1,200+ product pages received unique meta titles, descriptions, and schema markup (Product, Offer, LocalBusiness). The content team produced 45 comprehensive buying guides — "How to Choose a Bed", "Wood Types Comparison", "Office Furniture Buying Guide" — each optimized for informational and commercial intent keywords with internal links to relevant product pages. For local SEO, we created unique Google Business Profile content for each showroom, collected 200+ Google Reviews, and built localized landing pages for service areas. Simultaneously, we executed an off-page strategy: guest posting on home decor and lifestyle blogs, securing mentions on Bangladeshi real estate and interior design portals, and building niche-relevant backlinks from architecture forums.

Key Takeaways

  • Site migration to a modern headless CMS with SEO-first architecture was the highest-leverage decision — it enabled all subsequent optimizations and reduced technical debt permanently.

  • Local SEO for multi-location businesses requires treating each showroom as a unique entity with distinct Google Business Profile content, local citations, and area-specific landing pages.

  • Content hubs organized around user buying journey stages (Awareness → Consideration → Decision) dramatically improved both informational and commercial keyword rankings simultaneously.

  • Image optimization (WebP, lazy loading, responsive srcset) is critical for furniture e-commerce given the image-heavy nature of product pages.

  • Niche backlinks from home decor, interior design, and real estate portals carry more weight than generic directory links for furniture SEO.
